TrueCalorie App

By using the TrueCalorie app, you agree to the following terms of service. Please read them carefully.

1. Scope of Use

TrueCalorie is a fitness app for calculating individual calorie needs (TDEE) based on Apple Health data. The app is designed as a tool for personal fitness and nutrition management.

Important Notice: TrueCalorie is not a substitute for medical advice. For health concerns or eating disorders, please consult a doctor or qualified nutritionist.

2. Requirements

For optimal use of TrueCalorie, you need:

An iPhone with iOS 17.6 or later
Ideally an Apple Watch for accurate activity tracking
At least 7 days of activity data for precise TDEE calculations
A nutrition tracking app (e.g., MyFitnessPal, Yazio) that syncs calories to Apple Health

3. Accuracy of Calculations

The values displayed in TrueCalorie are based on:

Your personal Apple Health data
Scientifically-based calculation methods
Exponential smoothing (EMA) to reduce daily fluctuations

The accuracy of calculations depends directly on the quality of your input data. The more consistently you wear your Apple Watch and track your nutrition, the more precise the results will be.

4. Disclaimer

We assume no liability for:

Health effects from using the app
Inaccuracies in calculations due to faulty input data
Results of diets or dietary changes based on app recommendations
Data loss or technical malfunctions

Use of the app is at your own risk.

5. License

With the purchase of TrueCalorie, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices in accordance with Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights to the app, including design, code, and content, belong to A. Zschach. Use of the app does not grant any rights to the intellectual property.

7. Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to:

Update or improve the app at any time
Add or remove features
Update these terms of service

You will be notified of significant changes to the terms of service.

8. Termination

You can terminate your use of the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to block access to the app in case of violation of these terms.

9. Governing Law

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is, where legally permissible, the residence of the provider.
